The Art Space

Welcome Back Ride Challengers!

We had a great first week back at school!  I am so happy to see all of our returning Challengers, and new friends too!! The Art Space will be a great place to create and learn this year!  I have some exciting projects planned, and new art and artists to explore.  This week our 1-4th graders described some of their feelings about art.  Students finished some “sentence starters” with their thoughts about favorite colors, when they like to make art, their favorite type of art to make, or when they feel most like an artist.  I love their creative responses!!!

2010-11  District Art Show is now hanging at the administration building.  What beautiful artwork!  We have so many talented students and art teachers in CISD.  I have to say so many people who have offices there, were so excited to see the new artwork.  Last year’s show was removed, and they have had blank walls for a week.  How sad!!  The actual open house for students and their families to see their art will be mid September.

Worked on “The Art Space” today! I have some great new ideas for this year and looking forward to seeing everyone again!
